Our Hardwood Floor Refinishing Process

We can complete most hardwood floor refinishing projects in four days.

  • Preparation — Please remove all the furniture and wall hangings from the room.

  • Day One — We'll sand your floors to remove the top layers of the old finish. We'll repair any minor scratches or dents.

  • Days Two through Four — On each day, we'll apply one coat of polyurethane finish and allow it to dry thoroughly.

  • Maintenance — To keep your floors looking beautiful, we recommend applying a coat of protective sealant every two years (or more often if the floor starts to look worn in high-traffic areas.)

More complex jobs may require more sanding, but you have the option to change the color of the floor by having us stain it. Some jobs may require more extensive repairs. For your free estimate, please call Robinson Hardwood & Homes today.

Here's what our satisfied customers are saying...

You guys did a great job and went far beyond our expectations for these old floors. We’re very grateful.
